Dayak Tribe: Borneo Forests Last Guardians

Indonesian public not many know that on May 27, 2010, on the sidelines of the Conference Forests and Climate Oslo, Indonesia, represented by Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa has signed a letter of agreement (letter of intent / LOI) cooperation greenhouse gas reductions The signing is witnessed by the heads of both these countries into a new stage for Indonesia to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, or in English known as Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation. As compensation for the program, Indonesia will get a cash payment from the increase in carbon stocks in 2013.
Not many know also that Indonesia will get a grant 1 BILLION AMERICAN DOLLARS for this program
Indonesian public is aware that Indonesia has a large forest, INDONESIA IS THE LUNGS THE WORLD, and Indonesia have Deforestation is not less great. This is natural, normal and but also concern.

Borneo Dayak Tribe and Forest
Then why the Dayak elected as the title of this paper and whether the connection?
Not sure whether the Indonesian public would know this fact or not, but the paper made some high school kids from Navan seen that the understanding of this is there (see this link). That the Dayak people in essence have great respect for nature. The essence of this is because it comes from the belief "Pamais" those who see nature as their guards, and with damaging the environment as cutting down trees is not responsible is tantamount to cutting his God.
Dayak tribe with fixed seadanaya inculcate in their minds that nature is their pedestal. Nature provides the best for them and therefore also the opposite. No wonder the Dayak community to be very careful and selective in the implementation of forest lands and cultivate them.
In managing forests and forest land, they simply can differentiate between land used for farming or everyday purposes and which are not allowed. There are rules and follow a very strict line between them if one of their members violate the collective agreement.
Indeed, in fact pull through combustion Dayak land. But this is done to make the land fertile. Dayak tribe do not perform traditional enrichment process is to open a new area. "Every family has an area, they use one of this year, next year they first land fuels and use the second land, a few years later returned to the first Laham" analogy like that if we can understand the statement Adjang Kole, the chief governing body Setulang In short Dayak people use their land from year to year and they still keep the preservation of forests around.
In addition to forest land and their production, Dayak tribe has forbidden forest area or that the call "Tana Olen". The area is certainly free from destruction and deforestation. On the basis of a steady commitment, they diligently perform periodic patrols to avoid the greedy businessmen and not be held responsible for illegal logging.
They remain ingrained habits in life mereka.Selalunya they feel blessed by nature. Therefore do not be surprised if many of their desire and initiative to give it more into the wild. This is done in various ways. One of them is such that what is done by a father who devoted himself Januminro Bunsal through research wicker-rattan in Indonesia. Posts pull can be seen in several blogs sepertihttp: / / www.rotantaman.blogspot.com/ and http://rotanindonesia.yolasite.com/

Dayak tribes and post-signing agreement
According to Kole Adjang statement, he knew that he understood the concept of modern issues such as global warming and he personally had a dialogue with the researchers stating that the forest could be the air filter and can be a deduction from the effects of global warming.
Kole Adjang also never tell you about trends in carbon trading as what the central government has signed.
Kole Adjang never promised would be given compensation for trees that remain sustainable. Question mark just goes ... ... ..
But the logic of money given to the Norwegian State is not only for tribal Dayak, of course remains a national priority. The story of the Dayak in this paper only one example of the struggles of local communities in conserving the nature of the onslaught of the employers and the buddy-buddy is not responsible.
But hope-hope that the parties had been involved in this as Kole Adjang in this story taken into account in making government policies terharap nature conservation, so that money and resources available is not wasted.
Are we, the people, and the government wanted to do something serious about this?
Or let the Dayak tribe remains the last guard forests of Borneo?
Or let us, the people and government become "dayak" other?
